There will be a summer closure in July and August 2019 of the U4 subway line between the stations "Längenfeldgasse" and "Karlsplatz" due to complete moderrnisation of tracks and track foundations.

Wiener Linien recommends to make a detour around this partial closure and take the subway lines U3 and U6 instead. These two subway lines and furthermore the tramline 6 and the four  buslines 13A, 14A, 57A, 59A will run at more frequent intervals.
